JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs. This position requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of data management, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Term: 12 months contract term with a possible additional 3 month extension.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Finance department is responsible for investment and corporate accounting, valuations, as well as financial statements and financial reporting to our clients. The team also leads budgeting process, tax structuring and tax compliance, finance client engagement, finance operations, procurement, and investment performance and analytics. Working with our internal business partners, auditors and external advisors, the Finance department strives to be a trusted advisor to our internal and external clients by providing timely, accurate, and relevant financial information and analysis.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting, the Business Analyst will support business requirements gathering, documentation, data analysis, and testing efforts for the implementation of Workday Financials (FINS) and Procurement (P2P). This implementation marks the second platform in the rollout of the Workday enterprise resource planning system. Workday Strategic Sourcing is currently being implemented; and the full implementation of Workday Enterprise Resource Planning will include integrations with Workday Strategic Sourcing and the existing Workday Adaptive Planning, Workday Expenses and Workday HCM modules.
The Business Analyst will play a critical part in ensuring successful business process integration, stakeholder collaboration, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for a Business Analyst extremely knowledgeable in Workday FINS, with a strong background in requirement gathering, documentation, testing, and UAT leadership, looking to contribute to a high-impact Procurement and Finance transformation initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in solutions delivery within the Workday platform
  • Significant (minimum of 5 years) experience as a Business Analyst:
  • Participated in large scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / business system implementation projects
  • Working with diverse stakeholder groups from business to technical teams
  • Proven ability to build consensus among differing perspectives
  • Demonstrated ability to document complex business and system requirements with clarity
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Experience with data and application architecture
  • Experience in quality assurance (QA), including preparation of test cases, test scenarios, and defect tracking
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including stakeholder coordination and issue resolution
  • Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
Responsibilities
  • Business Requirements Documentation, Process Mapping and Impact Analysis
  • Map, analyze, and document design decisions and business processes, identifying areas for improvement
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements from Corporate Accounting, Procurement, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and other stakeholders
  • Assess impact of detail requirements against initial design from earlier phase of the project (Discovery)
  • Document the requirements for impacted reports and systems, including potential integration points/connectors
  • Identify and document business and data requirements to support decision-making and management reporting
  • Support data conversion and migration activities where necessary
  • Confirm requirements have been properly incorporated in the configuration of the platform
  • Testing, Training & Knowledge Management
  • Work closely with Technology to define and plan appropriate testing approaches
  • Work closely with the business teams to develop and support the execution of test scenarios, test cases, and test plans to validate system functionality and design
  • Lead and coordinate the business teams (Technology, Corporate Accounting, Procurement and FP&A) with implementation partner Test Leads
  • Define, document and track defects during testing, working with implementation partner, technical teams to ensure timely resolution
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating stakeholders, tracking issues, and ensuring successful execution
  • Support the development of end-user training and change management materials
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is accessible, maintained, and aligned with organizational standards
  • Support functional reporting and presentations where necessary
