Summary: We are seeking an experienced Health IT Specialist to support our Electronic Health Records (EHR) program. This role involves collaborating with clinical staff and IT leaders to develop and implement EHR solutions, ensuring alignment with our strategic plans and unit mission.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in a Clinical, Health, or Bio-Tech environment.
  • Familiarity with HL7 standards, including V2, Clinical Document Architecture, and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources.
  • Strong understanding of Health IT requirements and clinical processes.
  • Proven experience in project management and systems administration support tasks.
  • Ability to work in the Richmond Atmore office 4 days a week, with telework options available on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Electronic Health Records program.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and IT leaders to translate clinician requirements into EHR specifications.
  • Define Health IT requirements for clinical disciplines, aligning with strategic plans.
  • Conduct business analysis on clinical processes, excluding billing or insurance.
  • Contribute to various phases of project and program implementation, including system architecture, project initiation, business systems analysis, and system testing.
  • Implement downtime readiness procedures and manage internal reporting on system response time and service level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards for application development, enhancement, and deployment.
