YSI is seeking an experienced and analytical Business Analyst 4 to support the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) at their Richmond, VA office. The selected candidate will provide advanced financial and market analysis to support IT infrastructure sourcing and enterprise-level procurement activities. This role requires a high level of independence, collaboration, and initiative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis including evaluation of financial submissions and strength of businesses
  • 6+ years of experience with Power BI for creating data-driven dashboards
  • 6+ years of experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • 6+ years of experience developing clear and professional presentations using PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT market research
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement processes or sourcing support
Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth market research related to IT services and pricing models
  • Analyze data related to current service usage, consumption, and financial performance
  • Assist in developing financial requirements and modeling for new solicitations
  • Develop Power BI dashboards to support sourcing and procurement analysis
  • Create effective reports and PowerPoint presentations with charts, graphs, and other visuals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial evaluation scenarios
  • Create segmentation models of entities using VITA contracts and similar data
  • Produce documentation for Market and Analytics Program processes
  • Serve as backup for Market and Analytics Insights Manager during meetings
  • Work independently in ambiguous or undefined project environments
  • Translate complex financial data into clear and actionable insights
