About the Role The primary role of the Business Analyst is to act as a liaison between the client, business and IT teams in the development of system enhancements and online tools. They will implement technology and process-based solutions by determining the requirements for a project or program, analyzing, and documenting them, and communicating them to stakeholders. Day to Day Communicate requirements clearly and effectively to all teams responsible for technical development and implementation. Provide research and support for client management system and website production issues, including managing any necessary clean-up of customer files. Identify, validate, and document functional and operational requirements using established requirements-management methodologies and tools. Troubleshoot and analyze business requests, submitting detailed requirements and tickets through JIRA. Manage testing activities, communication, and documentation throughout development cycles and production rollouts. Develop reports using SQL, analyze data, and distribute findings through appropriate channels. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, propose feasible enhancement options, and evaluate associated risks. Perform testing activities—including system, regression/sanity, and user acceptance testing (UAT)—for system enhancements, server moves, production issues, and connectivity issues. Assist in developing and delivering training materials and supplemental documentation for new processes and system clean-up initiatives. Oversee implementation and ongoing maintenance of system rating, solicitation, and policy issuance processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements 1-2 years of insurance or prior Business Analyst experience preferred. College degree from a four year institution preferred. Experience facilitating meetings and requirements sessions with stakeholders to document high-quality requirements. MS SQL experience (queries, functions, reports) is a plus. Experience performing UAT, Regression/Stress testing for system enhancements. Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus. Proficient in MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with the desire for continuous improvement. Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
