Our client, a large complex Queensland Government Department, are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst for an initial contract until 30/09/2025.
Infrastructure for Learning strategy which identifies ‘data driven approach to asset management’ as one of the priority actions, the department is seeking to recruit a Business Analyst to deliver a number of key work items.

THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • More than 5 years experience as a Business Analyst within large complex environments.
  • Experience developing and testing SQL solutions to support business processes and high-quality products.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to establish and maintain productive relationships with team members and key stakeholders, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes while keeping line supervisor informed of progress and issues.
  • Excellent documentation and writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding requirements and assessing viability of solutions.

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to determine as-is business processes and develop improvements to existing SQL solutions.

AS THE BUSINESS ANALYST, YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE (BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO):

  • Liaise with various stakeholders to determine and document as-is business processes, metadata and functional specifications for solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standards, procedures and processes to promote and maintain high data quality capture, storage and reporting.
