Description The Business Analyst will support the analysis, reporting, and optimization of hotel performance across the portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of operations, finance, development, and data—focused on turning raw data into clear, actionable insights. You will be collaborating directly with the Director to build reporting frameworks, improve data visibility, and support decision-making across hotel operations, finance, and development functions. This is an entry-level role with strong development potential for someone interested in hotel analytics, business intelligence, and financial modelling. Key Responsibilities: 1. Hotel Performance and Compliance Analysis Support monthly performance reviews across the portfolio Identify key trends, performance gaps, and opportunities through conducting side-by-side performance comparison and analysis. Support and hoc analysis requests tied to operational and financial performance. 2. Reporting & Dashboard Development Maintain and improve centralized reporting tools (Excel-based and BI platforms) Assist in building dashboards Work with multiple data sources (P&L, STR, forecasts, pace, guest data) to extract and ensure consistent and accurate data. Reduce manual reporting through improved structure and automation. 3. Business Intelligence & Systems Support Support the rollout and ongoing development of BI tools (e.g., Power BI or similar) Assist in structuring datasets to improve usability and scalability. Contribute to improving reporting processes and data workflows. Document processes and support system standardization. 4. Financial Modelling & Underwriting Support scenario and sensitivity analysis. Subject hotel and thorough comp analysis to support underwriting. Work with assumptions related to revenue build-up, operating costs, and market benchmarks. Help identify risks, inconsistencies, and unrealistic assumptions. 5. AI & Process Improvement Support early-stage implementation of AI tools to improve reporting and analysis workflows. Assist in identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks. Contribute to improving overall data efficiency and decision-making processes. Requirements Skills & Experience Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Comfortable with formulas, data organization, and basic modelling) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions. Clear and concise communication skills Preferred 1–2 years’ experience in: Hotel operations, finance, or revenue management, or Analyst / data-focused role Exposure to hotel performance data (STR, PMS, or financial reporting) Familiarity with financial concepts (P&L, forecasting, margins) Experience with or interest in BI tools (e.g., Power BI) Interest in data analytics, financial modelling, or systems/process improvement
