Mō te Tūranga | About the Role As part of BNZ's Lending Platform team, you will play a crucial role in transforming our lending platforms and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role involves developing and implementing modern technology foundations to build market-leading lending experiences. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, to deliver connected and unified experiences across lending platforms. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in understanding and analysing business requirements for the lending programme. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that the solutions delivered meet the needs of the business and our customers. What are some of the responsibilities of this role? Develop and implement modern technology foundations to enhance BNZ's digital capability and colleague effectiveness. Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to deliver connected and unified experiences across digital and colleague channels. Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders and the platform team to capture and document business needs for shared understanding. Support the definition, prioritisation, and ongoing measurements of outcomes to ensure initiatives stay on track to deliver measurable value. Ensure the seamless integration of new features and functionalities into existing lending platforms. What will success look like for the candidate in this role? Successful candidates will contribute to building a strong foundation with modern technology. They will help deliver connected, unified experiences that enhance both colleague collaboration and customer satisfaction. Their efforts will result in a seamless and improved experience for both colleagues and customers, enabling simpler lending processes and more consistent interactions across channels. What specific skills and experience would be beneficial for this role? This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst with a proven track record supporting IT projects through structured analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and clear documentation. You will also bring experience: Gathering and refining business and technical requirements through workshops and stakeholder discussions. Working with developers, testers, platform owners, and business users to maintain alignment and shared understanding. Solving complex problems, analysing data and systems, and providing actionable insights. Mapping processes, data flows, and system interactions to support solution design. Digital transformation projects and modernising technology stacks. Exposure to lending origination systems, processes, and customer journeys in retail and business banking. Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in New Zealand banking sector, including credit, affordability, responsible lending, and risk management.
