Description

The Business Analyst plays a key advisory role, responsible for analysing business situations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions that align with business needs. This includes gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, producing documentation, and supporting testing and implementation.

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled in requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Experience with UAT planning and execution.
  • Proficient in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in business analysis within complex environments.
  • Familiarity with business modelling techniques (e.g., use cases, process models).
  • Experience with MS Dynamics 365 and tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.
  • Understanding of housing management systems (e.g., Orchard, Asprey) – desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, housing legislation) – desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Business Analysis certification (e.g., BCS, IIBA) – essential.
  • Additional qualifications such as Six Sigma, PRINCE2, ITIL – desirable.
  • Numerate degree – desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Investigate and analyse business problems and opportunities.
  • Define and document business and user requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Produce artefacts such as process maps, user stories, personas, and technical specifications.
  • Support functional and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
  • Track and report on project benefits and ensure business value is realised.
