The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role leads the requirements gathering and analysis efforts to develop business requirements documents (BRD) and compose actionable user stories. Business Analysts will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, development team members, and the quality assurance team to ensure deliverables are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Between 3–6 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or equivalent roles for mid- to large-scale software solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, and drive requirement discovery across multiple stakeholder groups with varying needs and priorities.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams, contributing to backlog refinement, and writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Skilled in techniques such as gap analysis, root cause analysis, and use case modeling.
  • Proficient in using agile tools and process documentation (e.g., process flows, data mapping, use case modeling).
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills with the demonstrated ability to resolve ambiguity, influence decision-making, and operate in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Responsibilities
  • Requirement Gathering (Manages Complexity, Plans and Aligns, Collaborates): Elicit and document business needs through interviews, workshops, and collaboration to ensure accurate and comprehensive requirements with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Backlog Refinement (Ensures Accountability, Plans and Aligns, Action Oriented): Collaborate with Product Owners to define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional details for upcoming sprints.
  • Documentation (Communicates Effectively, Manages Complexity, Instills Trust): Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, workflows, and process diagrams that clearly articulate business needs.
  • Translation of Needs (Decision Quality, Tech Savvy, Optimizes Work Processes): Convert complex business problems into clear, actionable technical and functional requirements that guide development.
  • Subject Matter Expertise (Resourcefulness, Ensures Accountability, Collaborates): Serve as the go-to resource for clarifying requirements throughout the development lifecycle, supporting cross-functional alignment.
  • Prioritization Support (Decision Quality, Plans and Aligns, Manages Complexity): Assist in backlog prioritization by analyzing business value, risk, dependencies, and effort in collaboration with Product Owners.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration (Collaborates, Customer Focus, Communicates Effectively): Work closely with Product Managers and other stakeholders to align business goals with functional requirements and product delivery
  • Cross-Functional Communication (Communicates Effectively, Interpersonal Savvy, Builds Networks): Facilitate conversations between business, technical, and QA teams to ensure shared understanding and implementation accuracy.
  • Ambiguity Resolution (Manages Ambiguity, Being Resilient, Courage): Identify and resolve gaps, edge cases, or inconsistencies in requirements using critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Agile Participation (Action Oriented, Collaborates, Nimble Learning): Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives as part of the delivery team.
  • Root Cause Analysis (Manages Complexity, Decision Quality, Drives Results): Investigate and analyze issues to uncover root causes and provide recommendations for process or system improvements.
  • Standards & Best Practices (Ensures Accountability, Optimizes Work Processes, Being Resilient): Ensure adherence to business analysis standards, templates, and practices to maintain quality and consistency across teams.
  • QA Collaboration (Collaborates, Ensures Accountability, Customer Focus): Partner with QA to validate requirements, review test cases, and confirm that delivered functionality meets business expectations.
