Job Description The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between eCommerce business unit and Brightspeed’s development teams to define and document work by breaking down features into their business requirements and performing gap analysis. The Business Analyst is the voice of the customer, stakeholder, and end user. The Business Analyst works closely with the development team, the Product Owners, and other Business Analysts to create executable stories. This individual will take part in all applicable scrum ceremonies. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Participates in discovery sessions, survey work, user testing to understand the problem and help the development team understand the requirements. Create and/or maintain key product documentation (e.g., customer journey map, technical specs, process mapping, etc.). Works with the Senior Product Owner to define Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and business requirements for delivery product roadmap. Performs a gap analysis on all new features and works with all stake holders (such as the design team, development team and product team) to close any gaps. Supports the development team by resolving questions and issues quickly, managing expectations. Keeps communication channels open and ensures tight feedback loops between the Product Owner and development team. Qualifications Primary Qualifications Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, IT professionals, and subject matter experts. Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical or business experience. Minimum 4 years' experience with Agile development. Experience in JIRA, Confluence, Asana and Agile Methodology. Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications that can be used for development and break down technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by business units and end users. Desired Skills Software Engineer and/or AEM experience is a plus. Strong ability to work effectively within time constraints, changing priorities, and independently. Ability to conduct multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Experience in project management, group facilitation, data gathering, and phases of software life cycle (requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, training, and measuring effectiveness.) Product Ownership/Business Analysis experience. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
