QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS (ABOUT YOU):

  • Minimum 2 years in Business experience
  • 1-year experience in business analysis, elicitation, modeling, and verification, preferably using agile methodologies
  • Experience in Distribution environment is preferred
  • Completion of High School
  • College/University degree or equivalent years of experience
  • End user experience with AS400
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and Visio
  • Excellent communication/people skills with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required. Some travel required (up to 25%)

Responsibilities

ROLE:

Deliver value to our Business Partners by eliciting requirements, performing in-depth analysis, cross-functional collaboration, elaboration and documentation of user stories and acceptance criteria that address complex business requirements while working in an agile environment. Works across the full stack and possesses a flexible mindset and passion for analysis with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a demonstrated “agile-development” mindset with strong customer-focus and is results-oriented. Working with Principal Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, Business Partners, external customers and vendors the Business Analyst will take the business requirements and translate into functional requirements to ensure quality solutions are delivered.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands the fundamentals of the business domain, including business processes and applications that support the assigned functional area(s)
  • Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other business analysts, business users, project managers and customers to achieve solutions that meet business expectations
  • Captures and analyzes business process flows to determine how current process flows may be impacted by change, uncover dependencies, perform gap analysis, and recommend other areas of improvement
  • Lead discussions on business needs with business partners and able to translate business needs effectively to technical requirements
  • Create user stories to ensure requirements are met and clarify requirements for the team
  • Create acceptance criteria to ensure requirements are met and clarify requirements for the team
  • Create use cases and other documentation to ensure requirements are met and to clarify requirements for the team
  • Execute unit tests to ensure business/customer requirements are delivered
  • Provides insights to the business for prioritizing work and managing the backlog
  • Assessment of current system capabilities and prioritization of work that will deliver the most value to the business
  • Addresses gaps in understanding of product requirements, including feedback on in-progress work to the team
  • Lead agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, agile sprint reviews and retrospectives to support delivery of tasks, enable progress and surface and resolve impediments
  • Work alongside other business analysts on the team to consistently apply best practices
  • Collaborates with the team to support end-to-end including design, development, QA, deployment and production support
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
