Ondaro is looking for a seasonal Business Analyst to be an integral member of a high-performing team responsible for supporting the Cal Fire QMS (Qualification Management System) and its user community in a fast-paced change positive environment. What you’ll be doing: Serving as a PET member you will: Provide answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps. Capture team best practices, processes and procedures as well as documenting activity in numerous different systems and knowledge base articles. Work a schedule that may include on call. This schedule will include schedules during weekends and holidays Serving as an extended member of the agile development and support team you will: Utilize feedback to sustain and enhance QMS capabilities. Hands-on planning, gathering, documentation, and maintenance of business requirements Research and test alternative solutions; recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solutions with attention to a customer’s established needs,capabilities, and limitations Review testing scenarios and refine test cases to ensure application quality; work with users to review test results to ensure they meet expected results Review and refine designs for usability Participate in testing and documenting test results. Attend and participate in meetings with the PET, QMS Development Team, Client and/or combinations of all of these. Travel to on-site meetings as designated by the Client and/or Ondaro. Work with development teams to fix problems. Document requirements and reference material. Gain and/or maintain current knowledge What you’ll bring to the table: This position requires you are based in and legally authorized to work within the United States. This position will be working 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time Minimum 3 years IROC experience in the dispatch/expanded environment. Strong attention to detail - both accuracy and thoroughness Efficient prioritization and planning of work activities Conducts work assignments of increasing complexity, under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment Ability to work remotely. Capability to deliver as a multifaceted team member as well while working independently. Demonstrate emotional intelligence through responsible decision making. Ability to clearly communicate needs and issues to best serve the client and the project team. Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in a clear and concise manner. Ability to be an active listener. Ability to work effectively in an environment with many competing and high- priority demands, often navigating ambiguity Adaptability for constant change and a hunger to consume new information and ideas. Analytical and creative problem-solving skills Experience with programs such as HEMS, IQCS, IQS, IRWIN, etc. are a plus. Wildland Fire field experience is a plus. Dispatching experience for a Wildland Fire Agency is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to serve in an on-call capacity as needed. Nice to have: Familiarity with IRWIN Experience with Agile/Scrum Software Development Methodology is a plus ServiceNow Certifications a plus
