POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Analyst is responsible for customer healthcare workflows and translating them into technical requirements for the Electronic Health Record. This position is also responsible for providing software configuration against defined user requirements and specifications. The Business Analyst is a member of the Customer Project Team for the duration of the implementation and works in partnership with the team to ensure all application software and software solutions are implemented to meet the customer’s business and project expectations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e., healthcare informatics, business administration, etc. or equivalent experience that supports clinical expertise)
  • Proven experience in healthcare IT, business analysis or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of Information Technology, software solutions, and software mgmt. systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use effective and purposeful problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong troubleshooting ability
  • Demonstrated ability to use strong analytical skills
  • Effective interpersonal and people skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, establish and manage competing priorities, work independently and be initiative-taking and perform effectively under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate issues, risk, and work proactively to develop alternatives to meet project goals and objectives
  • Strong and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Pays very close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in healthcare, behavioral healthcare, software development, and/or SaaS environment
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate directly with clients as an essential member of the project team
  • Apply knowledge and expertise to configure Arize under the guidance of the team’s Engagement Leader to satisfy and exceed current requirements
  • Use knowledge of behavioral healthcare standards to recommend choices in system set-up to customers
  • Apply technical and operational knowledge and expertise to perform software and integration testing of implemented software systems and solutions
  • Resolve identified issues requiring changes to implemented software applications and solutions
  • Document and analyze current workflow and processes to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Become an expert in the application tool set and developing new forms/workflows as needed as needed
  • Work closely with the Project Team in gathering and reviewing customer business requirements and assisting in writing user requirement documents
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot final system implementations
  • Provide training and end-user support during and after the implementation process
  • Participate in testing application updates and new features for customers
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned
