The Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Program is a core security initiative within UOW’s Digital & IT portfolio, partnering across faculties and divisions to modernise how identities are created, governed, and managed. We are progressing a multi-year transformation that will: • Strengthen security posture and regulatory alignment • Streamline user access across enterprise systems • Enable scalable, role-based and risk-aware access control • Improve the experience for staff, students, affiliates, and partners The Program operates at the intersection of technology, governance, and change, bringing together cybersecurity specialists, architects, analysts, change practitioners, and platform teams to deliver sustainable, enterprise-grade outcomes. About the Role We are seeking a versatile Technical Analyst with strong cyber/IDAM experience, process design capability, and excellent stakeholder skills. In this role, you will: • Support development of User Access Review (UAR) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks • Conduct current and future-state analysis of identity and access processes • Lead or support process mapping and process development activities • Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities • Perform discovery and analysis of privileged access usage to inform future Privileged Access Management (PAM) deployment • Engage technical teams, system owners, and business stakeholders to gather and validate requirements • Develop training materials and user documentation • Support change impact assessments, communications, and adoption planning • Contribute to program reporting, risk and issue analysis, and stakeholder updates You will work as an embedded member of the IDAM Program team, reporting directly to the IDAM Program Manager. About You You are an experienced technical analyst who is comfortable operating at the intersection of technology, business process, and change within a complex enterprise environment. Essential: • 5+ years’ experience in cyber security, IDAM, or technical analysis roles • Experience with UARs, RBAC, access governance, or PAM • Strong discovery, analysis, and process mapping / design capability • Experience supporting change within technology programs • Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable: • Experience in large or federated organisations (e.g. higher education) • Exposure to PAM tools or IDAM platforms • Experience working on large transformation programs • Relevant tertiary qualification; BABOK (BA) or PROSCI (Change) desirable UOW is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
