BUSINESS ANALYST

Changeis, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to support a large data initiative in our current work.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to act as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and the technical development teams for a key client. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for a wide range of data projects. You will play a key role in working with the Data Architect to develop data ontologies and lineage, ensuring that technical solutions are perfectly aligned with the business needs of the client.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on technical or data-focused projects.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and decompose complex business processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience working in an Agile/scrum environment and writing user stories.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, business intelligence, and data governance concepts.
  • Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence for requirements management.
  • Experience in a federal government.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications, user stories, and process flow diagrams for the technical teams.
  • Work with the Data Architect to define business terms, develop data ontologies, and document data lineage.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between business and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of project goals.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support project managers in defining project scope and managing stakeholder expectations.
