Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.     Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.    We currently have an opportunity for a Business Analyst Cost in Adelaide to work on NCB projects.     What You’ll Do      This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:    * Deliver cost performance analysis to track and assess DCE program progress against budget and schedule  * Develop program reports & metrics to clearly communicate cost performance and trends to stakeholders  * Undertake ‘what-if’ analysis to model and assess potential cost risks and impacts  * Evaluate program baselines to support overall contract performance assessment  * Analyse shipyard performance and contribute to the ONS cost allocation model, linking shipyard outputs to program and ship outcomes    What You’ll Bring    * Strong cost analysis capability – ability to interpret program cost performance and identify trends  * Advanced reporting & data visualisation skills – experience developing clear metrics, dashboards, and program reports  * Analytical & scenario modelling skills – capability to conduct ‘what-if’ analysis and assess cost risks  * Baseline & performance assessment expertise – understanding of program controls and contract performance evaluation  * Stakeholder & shipyard performance insight – ability to analyse and translate shipyard performance into program impacts    Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
