Overview CVP is seeking a highly motivated and organized Business Analyst to join our team to perform all aspects of business analysis and requirements management in an Agile development environment. As a Business Analyst, you will assist with all phases of the software development life cycle including gathering and translating business requirements into functional development specifications, following development tasks to completion, and investigating ways to optimize current functionality and processes. Responsibilities Conduct an environmental analysis to understand the Portfolio of work. Lead initiatives to define and translate complex business and user requirements into functional requirements. Apply an agile mindset to complex work projects. Manage the creation and maintenance product backlogs and other supplementary requirements artifacts for multiple teams. Work closely and develop relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented and met. Evaluate business requirements to identify gaps, interdependencies and reconcile conflicts with proposed solutions. Responsible for requirements through all lifecycle phases from inception to post-release. Mange the work others to deliver large complex tasks. Identifies work of junior analysts. Ensures work is “client ready” for multiple teams. Identify process improvements, either with client or project processes, and executes solutions. Responsible for the work of multiple business analysts. Ensures that the business intent is carried through the project’s business analysis work and delivers business value. Ensures business analysis work is of sufficient quality to meet solution objectives. Qualifications Active DHS Public Trust Clearance Must be DHS TTv5.0 certified. 5 years of business/requirements analysis experience. Strong troubleshooting, analysis, problem-solving, decision making and communication skills. Ability to write clear, unambiguous requirements in a variety of styles. Ability to manage time and tasks based on changing priorities. Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively. Excellent analytical skills. Experience eliciting, analyzing, prioritizing, documenting, and tracing software requirements. Experience managing backlogs. Excellent written and presentation skills. Excellent effective listening skills. Experience communicating with Project Stakeholders, technical and non-technical, in differing roles and various levels in the organization to identify, analyze, and prioritize requirements. Experience documenting requirements using industry standard tools. Experience facilitating meetings and workshops between cross-functional teams Experience working with Federal Government clients is strongly preferred. Expert in Atlalassian tool suite as a requirements management tool, primarily Jira and Confluence. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Desired Skills Experience working with IT teams and SDLC (Agile environment required). Project Management knowledge and expertise. Experience with SAFe methodology.
