BUSINESS ANALYST – DATA:

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst – Data for a remote role. This position is remote with limited onsite requirement, and is based in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

BUSINESS ANALYST – DATA - JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in data analysis and process improvement to support initiatives related to access management, service intake, integration, and reporting. The role involves working on enhancing the current Microsoft data platform using Azure Databricks and business intelligence tools.

BUSINESS ANALYST – DATA - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or process improvement.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.

BUSINESS ANALYST – DATA – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA).
• Lean Six Sigma certification.

• Gather and translate business requirements into actionable data and process solutions.
• Create process maps, data flow diagrams, and business rules documentation.
• Analyze current business workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Define and document process maps for access management and service intake processes.
• Co-facilitate and document stakeholder sessions focused on integration and decommissioning activities.
• Define and ensure traceability of data ingestion and Finance & Operations data intake requirements.
• Validate and define requirements for business reports and dashboards.
• Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business teams to ensure data quality and governance.
