Description

As a Business Analyst / Data Project Manager, you will bridge business stakeholders and technology teams by translating data and analytics requirements into scalable, efficient solutions. You will play a hands-on role in requirement analysis, stakeholder alignment, and end-to-end project delivery for data initiatives, helping strengthen the data ecosystem and drive measurable business value. What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed Requirement Gathering & Analysis Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and analytics requirements and translate them into actionable insights and solutions. Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for data transformation initiatives. Facilitate workshops and discussions to clarify requirements, identify gaps, and propose solutions. Define and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for data-related projects. Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and technology teams to design scalable and compliant data solutions. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment. Conduct training, user acceptance testing, and change management activities to maximise adoption of data solutions. Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and executive leadership. Foster a data-driven culture by advocating best practices in analytics and data management. Maintain strong relationships with data users, business stakeholders, and technology teams. Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and milestones. Project Management Lead end-to-end project management of data and analytics initiatives from inception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation, risk management strategies, and status reporting. Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, data engineering, business intelligence, and regulatory teams. Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party engagements where applicable. Drive Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches to support efficient execution and continuous improvement. Facilitate stakeholder meetings and communication across teams. Ensure project risks and dependencies are proactively managed. Work closely with the overall programme or project manager to align on deliverables and cross-project dependencies. We'd Love to Hear From You If... Experience You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. You have 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data-related roles. You have experience in UAT testing and the test management domain. Experience with data governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks will be a plus. Technical Expertise You are familiar with data modelling, basic SQL, and database management systems. You have a strong understanding of data platforms, infrastructure, and analytics tools such as DataIku, OAS, Denodo, and Feature Store. You understand project management methodologies such as Scrum and Agile. Ways of Working You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You have strong stakeholder management capability and can influence across different levels of the organisation. You can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You bring strong communication and presentation skills. You adapt well in fast-paced and complex environments.
