Description

Your Role

At Megaport, we don’t just connect networks; we reimagine what connectivity can do. We’re a high-achieving global team on a mission to make networking simple, agile, and endlessly scalable for businesses everywhere.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Marketing Operations team. This is a critical role that bridges data and marketing strategy. You will be responsible for defining key marketing metrics and audience segments through SQL, building impactful dashboards for performance tracking, and improving the overall quality and accessibility of our marketing data to drive actionable insights. You will be the engine behind our marketing intelligence, delivering data-backed insights that sharpen our strategy and directly amplify the effectiveness of the global marketing team.

If you are a detail-oriented analyst who enjoys solving complex data problems and values precision, accuracy, and clear communication, this is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact on our marketing intelligence stack.

About Megaport

Megaport is transforming how companies can build automated infrastructure at scale. We're global leaders in Network as a Service (NaaS) and Bare Metal Computing and a leading partner to Amazon, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Oracle, NYSE, and many other global tech companies. Megaport is a publicly traded company on the Australian Stock Exchange. We’re a lean, high-achieving team made up of over 500 members globally. While the company is headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, employees are spread out across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Staff enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and fun.

Our Team Culture

Join a team of globally-positioned industry experts that lead by example. We do not compromise our values for commercial gain; we are all custodians of our culture, and the customer is at the centre of everything we do. Our employees are motivated, adaptable, persistent, hard-working, and dynamic. Our culture permeates everything we do and this, in turn, with a global vision, forms a commitment to each other, our customers, and shareholders alike.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Write SQL to define KPIs and audiences for marketing campaigns
  • Build and manage audience segments across our marketing and CRM platforms
  • Create reports and dashboards that give the team a clear view of channel and pipeline performance
  • Run funnel analysis, cohort views, channel diagnostics, and behavioural deep dives to understand what drives our customers
  • Help improve the quality, consistency, and accessibility of marketing data
  • Govern field definitions, segmentation rules, and data hygiene to ensure accuracy and trust in our systems
  • Support first-touch and multi-touch attribution modeling to help identify which channels generate the highest-quality pipeline

What We Require

  • 1-2 years of experience in data analytics, ideally supporting marketing, growth, or revenue teams
  • Strong SQL proficiency
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms (Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Python experience for data analysis and automation
  • Ability to translate ambiguous questions into analytical approaches with clear, actionable insights
  • Comfortable working across globally distributed teams and time zones, with strong asynchronous communication skills
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to improve processes, accuracy, and operational efficiency
