Description **This position is contingent upon client requests** Location details: This role is anticipated to be on-site in the Washington D.C. area up to 5 days/week. The exact location and on-site requirements will be confirmed at a later time. Evans is hiring a Business Analyst to join their growing team in one of their contracts in Washington DC. You will perform tasks to support business workflows including agile methodologies and work closely with project teams, management, and various stakeholders to gather and document application requirements. We are seeking someone to capture business requirements while participating in the creating and evaluations of deliverables and documentation. Support the development of large, broad-reaching, and/or highly complex implementations within the business partner’s portfolio. Ensure compliance of all equipment, policies, and/or personnel with relevant laws Directs and/or mentors members of the solutions delivery or technical team on the delivery and support of systems, applications, and associated integrations. Provides strategic direction for the creation and communication of plans (action, operating, automation, strategic plans), options, approaches, and roadmaps to ensure continuous service and process improvement. Directs others and/or participates in evaluations of business requirements from clients, leadership, and end-user needs, and discusses/recommends solutions that meet business needs. Directs and/or participates in creating documentation (e.g., development guides, use cases, road maps, workflow diagrams, mockups, test plans, Agile materials, process changes, application documentation, job aids) for maintenance and user instruction/guides. Independently prepares stakeholders representation at industry forums, meetings, and public speaking events including developing presentations, speeches, and talking points for use in briefings and meetings. Approves functional/system level test cases and generates, maintains, and tracks test results. Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree in business, IT or related field; a degree may be substituted with the equivalent years of professional experience At least five years of experience consulting or industry experience in business reengineering or strategic initiative. Strong oral and written communication skills (writing samples may be requested) Experience working on web-based User Interface (UI) application development related project(s). Direct experience working closely with the business and technical teams to elicit, analyze, specify, verify, write, and manage business and system requirements for web-based UI and data driven applications. Strong experience working on agile application development project(s) Experience creating user stories and facilitating backlog refinement sessions Experience working with cross-functional teams including but not limited to project managers, automation support, and test developers. Compensation Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
