Position Title: Business Analyst
Department: Digital Transformation and Implementations
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Reports to: Digital Transformation and Implementations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, and/or Certification, Experience Required:

  • Post Secondary Education in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years as a Business Analyst, preferably in ERP or digital transformation projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong understanding of financial systems and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel or Power Bi
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clear criminal record check
  • Physically able to perform all listed job duties
  • Work performed primarily in an office environment

Process Analysis:

  • Map and analyze current business processes (as-is) work with financial and technical team to design improved processes (to-be).
  • Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, or bottlenecks.

Solutions Design:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to design technical solutions that meet business needs.

Documentation:

  • Create clear and detailed documentation such as business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.

Stakeholder Communications:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams and project teams.
  • Translate technical jargon into business-friendly language and vice versa.

Testing and Validation:

  • Assist in developing test plans and test cases.
  • Validate that the final solution meets the business requirements.

Change Management and Training:

  • Support the implementation of new systems or processes.
  • Help train users and ensure smooth adoption of changes.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Use data to support decision-making and measure the impact of implemented solutions.
