Description
Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. Responsible for the management of significant projects; manages multiple products or processes with a large amount of independence. Develop and exercise business plans, policies and procedures and may also be responsible for various projects to improve efficiencies. Identify stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships. Direct the creation of multiple projects of work and manage their alignment to business goals. Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross functional macro level topics within/across projects and with Senior Management. Lead the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition. Meet business objectives and work with project sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives. Drive adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project. Assist project team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the project can be completed. Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including Senior Management, on a timely basis. Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary. Provide leadership and strategic direction for the projects in relation to the learning ecosystem, acting as a product owner of these systems, driving prioritization and standardization Business Analyst Experience Experience with learning application implementation and management Project Management experience preferred Team Management experience Technical expert including proficiency with Agile Scrum and waterfall methodologies, as well as experience working with JIRA Known internally and externally as reliable, knowledgeable resource. Project management experience - preferably working with technology implementations and the ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals. Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics and ability to identify and provide analysis on application health Ability to identify issues, problems and potential risks and generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis. Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk. Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required. Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project, VISIO, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
