JOB SUMMARY:

As a Business Analyst within a top 10 North American bank, you will support the Wealth team by leading and executing compliance testing programs, documenting results, and identifying regulatory control gaps. This role requires strong knowledge of audit standards, compliance testing, and financial regulations, with an emphasis on wealth management processes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance testing, auditing, or internal audit
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly wealth and banking environments
  • Knowledge of national and international audit standards

NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE:

  • Big Four accounting/consulting firm background
  • Previous compliance or controls testing in large FI organizations
  • Law, rules, and regulations exposure within financial services

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • CSC/CPH or other financial industry certifications
  • Ability to interpret regulations and apply to business operations
  • Critical thinking and strategic problem-solving

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • CPA, CA, CIA, or equivalent designation strongly preferred
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills
  • Ability to lead and coach junior team members
Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and report on regulatory compliance testing programs
  • Prepare audit documentation in alignment with policies and international audit standards
  • Identify, document, and evaluate regulatory compliance controls
  • Develop and execute monitoring activities for wealth and compliance programs
  • Deliver recommendations for control improvements to business partners
  • Track and report work efforts against budgets
  • Stay current with key regulatory changes and ensure testing coverage
  • Lead assigned testing engagements and review the work of other testers
  • Draft superior-quality analyses and compliance reports
  • Collaborate across teams to support initiatives, process improvements, and value delivery
