JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst will support a top Canadian financial institution by ensuring accurate and timely trade lifecycle processing, reconciliation, and issue resolution. This hybrid role requires collaboration with front, middle office, and clients, while also supporting key operational and compliance initiatives.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 2–4 years of experience in banking or financial services.
  • Degree or certification in Business or Finance.
  • Hands-on experience with trade lifecycle management and reconciliation.

NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience contributing to audit reviews or internal research projects.
  • Prior exposure to operational excellence initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Advanced Excel (2+ years)
  • Python programming (2+ years)
  • Outlook proficiency

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with the front office, middle office, and clients regarding precious metals trade confirmations.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary to leads.
  • Execute complex transactions and overrides accurately and on time, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and SLAs.
  • Investigate and document exceptions, collaborating with partners to implement solutions.
  • Act as project lead or subject matter expert for small-scale initiatives.
  • Support change management projects, ensuring clear communication and documentation of new processes.
  • Provide accurate analysis of process drivers, root causes, and operational risks.
  • Produce consolidated reports and assist with presentations for management.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through timely issue resolution and effective communication.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, AML policies, business continuity, and regulatory standards.
