Description

INSIGHTS AT HYPEREXPONENTIAL

We are hiring an Analyst to help build a world-class finance function at hyperexponential, supporting rapid, sustainable growth with data, automation, and strategic insight. This is an opportunity to join a small but dynamic Central Functions team and to play a pivotal role, working together to establish scalable processes and deliver powerful insights that will propel our company into its next phase of growth. Initially this role reports into the finance team but with a remit that will likely expand into broader operational and strategic analytics across hx.
hyperexponential is an agile, high-growth, data-driven company and it needs a data function to match!

Our team at hyperexponential is:

  • Technology-driven: we leverage the latest cloud and AI technologies to drive automation efficiency, monitoring and deliver deep insights to the business
  • Customer-centric: we treat stakeholders as internal customers, proactive, responsive, and invested in their success
  • Forward-looking and holistic: We prioritise long-term value creation, looking beyond mere financial metrics
  • Growth Orientated: we embrace innovation and change; we love to learn new skills and keep on top of fast moving market trends

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or another quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical role.
  • We embed continuous improvement into how we design and scale processes. You should be able to review processes, identify inefficiencies, and improve them with a bias for simplification.
  • A passion for leveraging data, analytics, models, and forecasting to drive business results. You will have designed and built reports drawing from disparate data sets (ideally including detailed staff reporting).
  • Experience with any one tool is less important than a proven ability to dive into a new platform and find out how to make it work for you. With intellectual curiosity and drive to find better ways of doing things, you will showcase a broad exploration of data and analytics technologies and probably already have expertise in DAX/SQL/Python.
  • Ability to work independently, think objectively, and interpret meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data. You lead projects end-to-end, from intake and scoping through to implementation, keeping stakeholders informed and translating insights into action.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management. You can build strong relationships at all levels and convey complex topics to diverse audiences within the organisation.
  • Manage or maintained data pipelines within cloud solutions e.g. AWS or Azure (nice to have, not essential).
Responsibilities
  • BUILD INSIGHTFUL REPORTING AND ANALYTICS TO SUPPORT DECISION-MAKING:Aggregate and transform data into intuitive, actionable reports that help managers and leaders drive performance across the business.
  • DESIGN AND SCALE INTERNAL PROCESSES USING AUTOMATION AND AI, ENSURING THEY ARE FAST, EFFICIENT, AND MEASURABLE.As a Central Function, we exist to help other teams operate better. We build systems to match, intelligent, scalable, and easy to use. We leverage AI for this but also build metrics to prove any AI implementation is delivering value.
  • EMPOWER TEAMS TO USE DATA EFFECTIVELY:Coach managers and stakeholders on how to access, interpret, and apply the data available to them whether in dashboards, reports, or self-serve tools ensuring confidence and autonomy in day-to-day decisions.
  • PARTNER WITH CENTRAL FUNCTIONS TO MEET ANALYTICAL GOALS:Collaborate closely with People, Finance, and other central teams to understand their data needs and design solutions that align with their strategic objectives.
  • MANAGE AND PRIORITISE INCOMING DATA REQUESTS:Own the intake process, ensuring that requests are triaged, responded to promptly, and balanced against ongoing priorities.
  • MAINTAIN AND QUALITY-ASSURE STANDARD REPORTS:Ensure dashboards and recurring reports are accurate, well-documented, and consistently delivering value.
  • COMMUNICATE PROGRESS AND ESCALATE BLOCKERS:Keep stakeholders informed on key requests, proactively surface decisions, and flag any risks or issues that may impact delivery.
