Job DetailsJob Location: Headquarters - Shreveport, LA 71103Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 Salary/year Title: Business Systems Analyst I Department: Corporate Location: 1826 Claiborne Avenue, Shreveport, LA Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Wage: $40,000.00-$45,000.00/annual DOE Wage Category: Non-Exempt Reports To: Vice President, Information Technology (IT) Overview: The Business Systems Analyst I supports the organization's data analytics, business intelligence, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology initiatives by providing data analysis, reporting, business systems support, and end-user technical assistance. This position works with departments to improve business processes, support technology solutions, and deliver data-driven insights that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to: Data Analysis and Business Intelligence Develop, maintain, and analyze organizational reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with departments to collect, organize, validate, and interpret operational and business data. Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and reporting. Create data visualizations and reports using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools. Assist management and department leaders by providing data-driven insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. Maintain data accuracy and integrity across organizational systems and databases. Artificial Intelligence and Business Systems Assist with the development, testing, implementation, and support of artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and business intelligence initiatives. Support software implementation projects, testing activities, and user acceptance testing. Create and maintain documentation related to business systems, reporting processes, AI initiatives, and technology procedures. Collaborate with the IT department and organizational leadership to identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement. Technical Support and End-User Services Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technology support requests. Provide technical assistance related to computer systems, hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment. Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers, operating systems, software applications, and peripheral equipment. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including workstation setup, account provisioning, equipment deployment, and user orientation. Provide user training and guidance on technology systems and software applications. Technology Operations and Asset Management Maintain inventory records for computer equipment, software licensing, and technology assets. Monitor business applications and technology systems for issues and escalate concerns as necessary. Escalate advanced infrastructure, networking, security, server, and systems issues to the IT Infrastructure Engineer. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts. Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users. Interest in data analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements. Ability to work with people who are blind and/or disabled. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python, databases, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms is preferred, but not required. Must be able to pass a background check for access to military and federal installations. Must be able to travel throughout the organization’s service area via the most efficient and accessible means. This position involves tasks such as stooping, standing, turning, bending, and kneeling, as well as occasionally lifting to 25 pounds.
