Description
Description Position Summary The Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting reporting and dashboard development that enables leadership decision-making, contributing to data-driven insights across the Salience organization’s ecosystem. This role partners closely with leaders, clinical teams, and technology partners to translate reporting needs into clear, accurate, and timely dashboards and analyses, helping improve operational performance and patient experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced healthcare environment and is comfortable working within established data models while helping improve reporting consistency and usability over time. This person must be able to prioritize competing reporting requests, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and deliver reliable outputs in a collaborative, business-facing role. Key Responsibilities 1. Data, Reporting, Performance Analytics & KPIs Build and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards tracking key metrics such as growth, throughput, operational effectiveness, access rates, and care outcomes. Extract and analyze data from Athena, Salesforce, Snowflake, Tableau, and other integrated systems to support accurate and consistent reporting for business and clinical users. Present findings in clear, narrative-driven visuals that help leaders understand performance trends and operational drivers. Support leadership and functional teams by translating reporting needs into dashboards and metrics aligned with the Salience Standards. Model and reinforce Salience’s Ownership Culture by using data to inform discussions and continuous improvement, escalating data quality or reporting gaps as needed. 2. Systems & Technology Integration Support EHR, CRM, and HR system initiatives (Athena, Salesforce, Paylocity, etc.) by providing reporting requirements, validation, and user-focused input. Maintain and improve reporting and dashboard standards to ensure consistency, ease of access, and efficient turnaround of reporting requests. 3. Strategic Growth & Business Case Support Support analytical efforts related to growth initiatives (new clinics, providers, services, products) through data preparation, reporting, and analysis. Assist finance and growth leaders by preparing inputs for business cases, capacity planning, and operational reviews. Provide data and reporting support for ROI assessments related to process improvements, staffing models, marketing efforts, and training initiatives. 4. Financial Modeling & Forecasting Support Support finance-led financial models and forecasts by preparing data inputs, validating assumptions, and maintaining supporting Excel-based analyses. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tied to forecasting and operational performance. Facilitate cross-departmental alignment by sharing clear, well-documented reporting outputs. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or healthcare operations analytics. Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau, with a focus on reporting and dashboard development. Familiarity with Salesforce reporting and dashboards; experience partnering with Salesforce administrators is a plus. Exposure to Athena EHR, SQL, and cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake) is beneficial. Strong communication skills — able to translate reporting outputs into clear explanations for clinical and non-clinical audiences. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple reporting requests and shifting priorities. Performance Metrics Leadership has timely and reliable visibility into key operational and performance trends. Reports and dashboards are accurate, consistent, and easy for leaders to interpret. Reporting requests are delivered within agreed timelines, with clear communication on priorities and turnaround times. Reduction in duplicate or outdated reminders and dashboards over time through improved structure and standards. Positive feedback from leaders and stakeholders on clarity, usefulness, and responsiveness of reporting support.
