Working independently, this individual takes ownership of system support, configuration, reporting, and integration tasks across IFS and the broader enterprise application ecosystem. The role requires strong SQL skills, solid cross-platform reporting expertise, and the drive to identify and deliver process improvements across the organization. Requirements Responsibilities • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for IFS Cloud and the broader suite of enterprise business applications, providing daily system support, troubleshooting, and guidance across assigned business areas. • Respond to help desk tickets, resolve moderately complex issues independently, and maintain help desk documentation. • Document new configurations and business processes and update existing processes as necessary. • Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries to support reporting, data validation, data extraction, and issue troubleshooting across relational database platforms. • Design, develop, validate, and deploy operational reports using IFS Report Studio and other reporting platforms; manage legacy report migrations and conversions, including Crystal Reports to IFS Report Studio using IAL views and other appropriate data sources. • Design, build, and maintain dashboard and analytics solutions across IFS Lobbies and Power BI — including data models, calculated measures (DAX), and reusable datasets — to deliver KPIs, trend visibility, and actionable insights to business users; ensure data definitions, refresh schedules, and access controls are properly governed. • Support and help maintain integrations across the connected application ecosystem, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve data pipeline, workflow, and synchronization issues. • Leverage AI tools to accelerate report development, documentation, data analysis, and issue resolution. • Participate in application upgrades and implementations by coordinating and executing testing and training with business users. • Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data quality, and drive operational efficiency; take ownership of improvement initiatives from concept through delivery. • Conduct data analytics activities including data profiling, trend analysis, root cause investigation, and ad hoc analysis to surface actionable insights and support data-driven decision making across the business. • Assist users in the development of report and query specifications. • Conduct individual and company-wide user training sessions for varied business application software. Key Skills and Qualifications • Working knowledge of a broad range of business processes including sales, service and maintenance, and financial reporting. • Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries and joins. • Demonstrated data analytics skills, including data profiling, trend analysis, and translating raw data into clear, actionable findings for business stakeholders. • Hands-on experience building dashboard and analytics solutions in IFS Lobbies and Power BI, including data models, calculated measures (DAX), KPI design, and self-service reporting; experience developing operational reports in IFS Report Studio and working with data governance practices such as refresh scheduling, row-level security, and data definitions. • Experience with additional reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Tableau. • Familiarity with relational database technology including Oracle and SQL Server. • Practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity and output quality. • Demonstrated problem solving and work prioritization skills. • Excellent customer service skills including telephone techniques, listening skills, sense of urgency, and enthusiasm. • Proven proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • General ability to troubleshoot software configuration and scripting. • Solid verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and project team members. • Team oriented and self-motivated. • Process flow documentation experience; ClickLearn experience a plus. • Ability to work flexible days/hours in order to meet system and customer needs. Education and Experience • BS in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, and technical coursework in database and report development applications. • Hands-on experience with IFS Cloud ERP or another major enterprise ERP platform. • Strong query development experience using Structured Query Language (SQL). • Experience with report development and data analytics using IFS Report Studio, Power BI (including data modeling and DAX), Crystal Reports, SSRS, Tableau, or comparable tools; familiarity with related database toolsets (e.g., TOAD, SSMS). • Experience dealing with all levels of personnel in an organization. • 3–5 years of relevant experience, including business analyst experience with a major ERP or enterprise business application; IFS implementation experience strongly preferred. Responsibilities
The Business Analyst II provides system support, configuration, and reporting for IFS Cloud ERP and other enterprise applications. They are responsible for developing SQL queries, creating Power BI dashboards, and driving process improvements across business verticals.
