This role offers the opportunity to act as a strategic bridge between business units and technical teams, translating operational goals and member-focused objectives into actionable insights. The Business Analyst will focus on lending and deposit operations, analyzing performance, optimizing processes, and providing data-driven recommendations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop KPIs, dashboards, and business plans that inform growth strategies and enhance member experience. This position is remote, requiring effective communication and independent work while contributing to a collaborative, high-impact environment. The successful candidate will combine deep industry knowledge with advanced analytical skills to drive meaningful results. \n Accountabilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for strategic initiatives. Evaluate department and product performance; develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational health. Analyze programs and campaigns, providing recommendations to optimize effectiveness and profitability. Support growth strategies by recommending relevant metrics, data models, and performance indicators. Document and map current-state and future-state business processes to identify efficiency opportunities. Partner with internal teams to develop actionable business plans supporting operational and growth objectives. Create insightful dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Oracle BI. Query and interpret complex data sets using SQL to generate clear, strategic insights. Support member engagement analysis to inform retention, outreach, and experience initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in lending and deposit operations within credit unions or similar financial institutions. 10+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in financial services. Strong knowledge of credit union product lines, operational workflows, and performance metrics. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and manipulation. Skilled in creating dashboards and interactive reports using Tableau or Power BI. Solid understanding of business process mapping and optimization techniques. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences. Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strategic mindset and proactive problem-solving skills.
