Role: Business Analyst / Implementation Project ManagerSector: AI & AutomationLocation: Chelmsford (2 days in office per week)

A fast‑growing AI automation start‑up is helping recruitment firms, software companies and HR teams streamline and automate back‑ and mid‑office operations. Their platform is saving clients significant time and cost, and demand is accelerating fast - including a new US office and a 17% ARR uplift last month alone.

They’re now expanding their Implementation Project Management team and looking for a Business Analyst / Project Manager to support new client onboarding and deliver smooth, high‑quality software implementations.

The RoleYou’ll lead end‑to‑end delivery of AI & automation projects, ensuring clients get a seamless implementation experience. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with customers, translate business needs into clear technical requirements, and manage projects through to testing and handover. They build their solutions bespoke depending on customer needs and systems, so you'll need to be comfortable in a technical landscape as well as working with enterprise clients.

• You will:Support new customers through implementation
• Gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications & automation designs
• Map AS IS and TO BE processes and workflows; complete Process Design Documentation
• Work with non‑technical clients to clarify needs and expectations
• Manage project scope, timelines and stakeholders
• Identify risks and create mitigation plans
• Run regular status reviews and keep delivery on track
• Work on bespoke, often ambiguous projects where curiosity and clarity matter

• What You BringBusiness Analyst experience
• Project Management experience with technical implementations
• Strong client‑facing communication skills
• Experience with requirements facilitation and process mapping
• Comfortable working on bespoke or complex projects
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Experience working with remote teams

• Nice to have:Background in Recruitment/Staffing
• Knowledge of RPA tools or automation technologies
