Description

Role Purpose The Business Analyst supports the effective translation of business needs into clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements that enable successful information & technology delivery. Working closely with the IT business partner and delivery teams, the role engages early with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop detailed functional and non-functional requirements for prioritised initiatives, ensuring solutions are aligned with business outcomes and operational needs. Key Accountabilities
Support the IT Business Partners and delivery teams in capturing and shaping demand from business units.
Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements and business context.
Translate business needs into user stories, use cases and requirements specifications.
Document high-level business needs and pain points to help assess demand for prioritisation.
Work with delivery teams to define detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
Assist with solution validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and business readiness activities.
Assist Business Architect with mapping of the as-is business processes.
Ensure traceability between business needs, requirements, and delivered solutions.
Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices and templates.
Communicate complex requirements in a clear and accessible way, ensuring documentation is accurate and maintained.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Business or related discipline
Business Analysis certifications desirable
Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, or similar roles within IT and complex environments
Experience translating business needs into structured functional and non-functional requirements
Experience with process mapping and modelling techniques
Curious mindset with strong listening skills
Structured and detail oriented
Collaborative and relationship focused
Excellent communication skills
Adaptable and comfortable working across both strategic discovery and delivery detail
