On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - Intermediate for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Analyst - Intermediate will provide comprehensive I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological requirements. The role involves leading business analysis activities to support the development and implementation of effective I&IT solutions.

BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Strong Agile and Waterfall experience.
  • Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Proficiency with MS Office - PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Azure DevOps / Jira.
  • Experience with Enterprise Transformation / Modernization / service delivery projects.
  • Ability to interpret data, policy, and financial information for evidence-based recommendations.
  • Acts as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with information retrieval packages.
  • Knowledge of Information Management principles and practices.
  • Experience with structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) standards.
  • Familiarity with forecasting/budgeting related documents.
Responsibilities
  • Provides holistic leadership across business analysis, project outcomes, and a team of business analysts.
  • Interacts with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements.
  • Advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards.
  • Manages and grooms the product backlog based on user needs and prioritization input.
  • Prepares training materials and conducts training sessions on project delivery methodology.
  • Supports QA, UAT, Architecture, and Technical activities to ensure quality and enterprise standards are met.
  • Conducts discovery, cost-benefit analysis, and prototyping.
