ABOUT US:

Norsat International Inc. is seeking a student enrolled in an undergraduate program in Human Resources or Business Administration to work for the Fall term. Throughout the internship, you will have a hands-on real-world experience with different team members ranging from the CEO & President, CFO, Human Resources Generalist to the Human Resources and Accounting. In this internship, you will be exposed to learning, development and mentoring sessions while being offered a chance to add value through your unique and fresh perspective.

Intern Qualifications / Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, and inquisitive.
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent MS Office computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player with excellent problem and conflict solving skills; resourceful and proactive.
  • Commitment to product quality and delivery deadlines based on cost and time constraints.
  • Able to both train and learn from others.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, positive working attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • General accounting functions including journal entries and working papers in multiple currencies and reconciliations.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits.
  • Provide support to financial reporting data.
  • Perform other accounting duties and special projects as required.
  • Assisting the recruiters with posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms and screening potential employees.
  • Assisting the human resources teams with processing new hire onboarding.
  • Assisting in improving ADP Workforce now experience for employees and managers.
  • File documents and answer employees’ inquiries; and
  • Assisting with other projects as needed.
    Work Hours: Part-time 4 hours a day for 5 days a week / 2.5 days per week/ minimum 20 hours per week
