THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting time to join Venterra’s Accounting and Finance team. We are seeking to build on Venterra’s current success and continue to position the organization as a leader in the use of finance technology. Our solutions have been a combination of implementing customized third-party solutions and building solutions from scratch. Due to Venterra’s rapid growth plan, the Accounting and Finance team will be integral to transforming the Venterra investor experience, better understanding business drivers and providing meaningful operational insight.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Investor and Corporate Reporting, the Business Analyst will have the opportunity to execute critical Investor and Corporate Reporting projects and initiatives. The Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying, developing, documenting and analyzing business requirements and processes and procedures related to Investor and Corporate Reporting. Key initiatives will include the implementation of a scalable end-to-end investor experience solution, the automation of the new executive reporting initiatives, and the optimization of the month-end Corporate Reporting process and related deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business process mapping exercises with key stakeholders together with business and user requirements gathering, analysis and documentation to clearly define end-to-end use cases; obtain sign-off from key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain detailed and accurate plans and documents (i.e. Requirements Traceability Matrix) to ensure project deliverables and acceptance criteria will deliver the approved requirements
  • Draft user-interface mock-up screens and design reports based on user requirements
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create use cases/test plans and to define user acceptance testing criteria
  • Execute test plans and document results; track, validate and report on issue resolution status
  • Create process maps/narratives/workflows, standard operating procedures, training materials and other documentation
  • Re-engineer and automate current processes by utilizing existing tools and by learning and implementing new technologies and systems
  • Work with the Technology group to enhance the accounting and finance data capabilities in the company’s data warehouse
  • Support RFQ/RFP processes and vendor management efforts related to business/user requirements and project deliverables
  • Other ad hoc initiatives and requests as required
