Description
Over the past 30 years, we’ve grown from humble beginnings with a single computer to a global technology company (ASX-300 listed company, JIN). Partnering with over 15,000 good causes worldwide and helping raise more than $260 million last financial year. Innovation isn’t just part of what we do; it’s who we are. We develop cutting-edge solutions empowering our lottery and not-for-profit partners to raise funds for their vital causes. We believe in fostering an environment where talented people can innovate, grow, and have fun. What will you be doing? You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, Lottery Solutions and Technology to capture current-state processes, clarify business needs and convert them into tangible artefacts for our product and engineering teams, enabling them to deliver changes with greater clarity and confidence. This role offers the chance to work across the breadth of the business in a low-red-tape, high-impact environment, where your analysis and clarity will directly influence how we scale and improve our global platforms and ways of working, and how effectively teams across Jumbo collaborate to support our lottery and not-for-profit partners. What Success Looks Like in Your First 12 Months Within your first 3 months, you will have developed a solid understanding of Jumbo’s Lottery Platform, key processes and stakeholders, and be contributing clear, well-structured analysis to in-flight initiatives. Within 6 months, you will be independently leading discovery, requirements elicitation and support solution design for cross-functional projects, aligned with technical principles and business objectives, producing artefacts that are agreed by stakeholders and ready for delivery with minimal rework. By 12 months, you will be a go-to partner for product, technology and operations leaders, with your analysis helping teams deliver change more efficiently and with clearer alignment to business outcomes. What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like Lead research and analysis into current business practices being performed across Lottery Solutions, Operations, Marketing, Insights & Analytics and Technology. Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements. Facilitate workshops and interviews with subject matter experts. Define and model high-quality artifacts (e.g., process maps, information flows, requirements documents, user stories, test cases and acceptance criteria) that provide a central, reusable view of how things work across the business, with particular focus on Jumbo's Lottery Platform (JLP) and related processes. Collaborate with onshore and offshore stakeholders to support JLP integration projects and large operational and compliance projects (such as obligations registers and regulatory changes), ensuring consistent ways of working across regions. Analyse both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate options, trade-offs and identify gaps, risks and opportunities for process and system improvements, providing recommendations backed by clear analysis. Work with delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle to clarify requirements, support testing and validate that implemented solutions meet business needs. Provide light-touch project coordination support where required. Contribute to building and improving internal templates, standards and practices for business analysis within a growing, fast-moving environment. What You’ll Be Able to Bring to the Role Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong skills in process mapping and current-state analysis, documenting complex systems and ways of working clearly and in a structured way. Experience working with or around financial or highly regulated environments (e.g. gaming, banking, insurance, superannuation) and understanding of payment-related processes. Strong experience working on digital and web-based projects, with the ability to translate technical and business requirements effectively. Demonstrated ability to work with product, technology and operations stakeholders to define requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and facilitate requirements-gathering workshops. Comfortable operating in a growing, relatively lean environment with minimal red tape, taking ownership and driving outcomes, and working independently on assigned tasks. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including working effectively with colleagues in different locations and time zones. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to problem-solving, combined with a collaborative, curious and proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative on improvement opportunities.
