Description
The Business Analyst will work on the preparatory activities for the modernization of life insurance management systems. They will be responsible for conducting detailed analyses with the support of the Content Lead. The objective of the mandate is to document the current state and identify opportunities for simplification. They are responsible for analyzing the client’s context, needs, and business processes for moderately complex initiatives that may require alignment across one or more business domains. They work with stakeholders, users, and contributors and are accountable for ensuring overall project alignment with business needs and organizational objectives. They identify, design, and recommend business solutions and analyze their impacts on the organization. Within projects, they contribute to defining business objectives, scope solutions, and support the project manager in key decision-making. They ensure alignment of solutions with business goals and operational needs. They are also responsible for the end-to-end integration of business solutions, from defining requirements through to deployment. The advisor works closely with a product owner, subject matter experts, project manager, sponsor, solution architect, integrator, and agile squads. They are involved throughout the full solution lifecycle and must ensure that all stakeholders clearly understand the solution. Key Responsibilities: Identify, analyze, document, and write business needs and requirements Perform process mapping in BPMN using Visio (knowledge of BizzDesign is an asset) Ability to produce detailed business solutions in PowerPoint Ability to prepare executive summaries Knowledge of individual life insurance products — an asset Knowledge of the CAPSIL system — an asset Ensure a cross-functional/end-to-end view of the solution Requirements Skills: Attention to detail Rigorous and structured Ability to drive innovation Ability to engage stakeholders Strong collaboration skills Action-oriented Comfortable managing uncertainty and ambiguity Strong interpersonal skills Effective communication Creative, analytical, and systems thinking Ability to simplify complex concepts and synthesize information Required Qualifications: ESSENTIAL: 2 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with experience in requirements writing and process mapping Business Analysis certification (CBAP) — an asset Knowledge of the life insurance industry
