BUSINESS ANALYST – MICROSOFT ENVIRONMENT INTEGRATION:

On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst – Microsoft Environment Integration for a 7 month contract. This position is a fully remote position with occasional in-office days at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta office.

BUSINESS ANALYST – MICROSOFT ENVIRONMENT INTEGRATION - JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is embarking on an exciting initiative to transition onto a Microsoft environment. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions during this integration. This involves ensuring a seamless migration and adoption of Microsoft platforms such as M365, Teams, and SharePoint.

BUSINESS ANALYST – MICROSOFT ENVIRONMENT INTEGRATION - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (M365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD).
• Proficiency with Planview for project and portfolio management.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment.
• Strong documentation and process mapping skills (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools).
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
• Experience in change management and supporting user adoption.

BUSINESS ANALYST – MICROSOFT ENVIRONMENT INTEGRATION – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Comfortable working in a remote environment, with flexibility for occasional in-office days (Alberta preferred).
• Project management or agile experience is an asset.

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to the Microsoft environment migration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
• Use Planview to support project planning, resource management, and reporting.
• Map and analyze current vs. future state business processes to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Assist with testing, validation, and issue resolution during implementation.
• Support change management and user adoption of Microsoft tools across the organization.
• Partner with IT and vendors to ensure technical deliverables align with business objectives.
• Provide regular project updates, reports, and insights to stakeholders and leadership.
