Overview GKG is seeking a Business Analyst (mid-level) to join our team in Reston, VA in support of our Business Development Team. This is a Remote Position requiring travel up to 25% CONUS Responsibilities The Business Analyst supports the DOD/IC ccount and executes the day-to-day activities supporting the account executive, coordinating with the growth team, and providing required contract delivery activities that range in level of complexity, technology, and time. Reports to the VP Defense & Intelligence. Job Responsibilities: Business Development Support the VP throughout the business development lifecycle, to include: Analysis and reporting on current leads, opportunities, and pursuits. Managing and maintaining the BD pipeline and the Gate Review process. Evaluates new opportunities; presents findings clearly and makes recommendations for action. Assists with core business development activities, such as generating pitch decks and communicating with clients and competitors to better understand business trends. Seeks out new market insights and business opportunities through research and analysis. Supports the VP in putting together winning teams for various contracts. Leads teaming conversations. Primary point of contact for development of NDAs and Teaming Agreements to include Exhibit As. Communication Staffing meetings, taking notes, and communicating out action items. Collaborate with the PMO on tasks related to contract execution and delivery. Executing calls to potential clients and pursuing leads. Developing and maintaining partner relationships throughout the cycle. Communicate with the government during the BD process through email, market intelligence sites and on the phone. Bid and Proposals Serves as a proposal coordinator for all DoD/Intel proposals, to include: Development of compliance and capabilities matrices Storyboard development Technical, Management, Pricing and Past Performance Volume writing Color team reviews Document management and collects input from various sources and locations. Controls versions and updates. Supports proposal recruiting efforts to obtain letters of intent by serving as the point of contact for the GKG Recruiting team in order to clearly define and prioritize recruiting efforts for all of the proposals. Contract Delivery: Supports the VP during all phases of contract execution that includes: Works with Recruiting and Retention (through collaboration with PM and GKG Recruiting Department) Quality Control Invoice review and submission Acts as the GKG Corporate Account Executive in his absence for Army programs. Capture: Support the VP throughout all phases of business capture, to include: Conducting market research on all DoD/IC opportunities in order to shape contracts before they are marketed to the public. Attends relevant trade shows, events and functions that enhance GKG’s ability to favorably shape, capture and win new business and expand current business. Maintain active membership and attendance in relevant professional networks. Qualifications Proficient in Shipley Business Development Processes and Techniques Bachelor’s Degree Up to 5 years of related experience in the Federal Government contracting field Working knowledge of the DoD, it’s organization, structure, functions, and military departments US Army experience preferred Active Top Secret preferred Salesforce experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint Superior written communication skills Ability to conduct independent research and provide meaningful analysis in a clear and concise manner across multiple presentation platforms. 25% to client sites, conferences, and industry days for business capture Unique and unpredictable work hours including nights and weekends depending on the project timeline.
