The role sits within a strategic, multi-phase lending platform transformation programme focused on origination and loan management systems. The problem being solved Our client has identified gaps in their loan management system's ability to orchestrate loan servicing activities and workflows. The programme objective is to ensure business continuity by systemising loan servicing functionality in a dedicated system — while using the opportunity to optimise processes and integrate seamlessly with the broader lending platform. What success looks like in the first 3–6 months Well-defined requirements (Epics/Use Cases) for each servicing workflow in Phase 1 (mortgages) Improved process designs where opportunities exist Clearly documented business rules Integration points mapped and included in end-to-end processes Communication templates defined Productive collaboration with engineering teams during build, and with business stakeholders through validation Active dependency management across programme streams Programme context This role is part of a multi-phase lending platform programme. Phase 1 covers mortgages, with subsequent phases extending to other financial products. The BA profile This is a process and business-focused BA role. Candidates who started out in technical analysis are welcome, but deep API or architecture experience is not required — solid BA fundamentals and the ability to engage with technical teams is what matters. You won't just translate requirements; you'll be expected to challenge stakeholders and drive genuine process improvement. We're looking for someone with 3–5 years of BA experience. Industry background is open — financial services is not a prerequisite, and candidates from customer service or other non-traditional backgrounds are genuinely considered. We're not looking for the most senior person in the room; we want someone adaptable, curious, and willing to get stuck into unfamiliar territory. Stakeholders Primarily operational teams across credit and customer service, alongside compliance and an internal product owner representing external partner channels. You'll join a team of six BAs, working day-to-day with a Programme Product Owner and Product Owner in Sydney, Operations SMEs in Melbourne, and Compliance in Sydney.
