Description
Lead requirements discovery and elicitation: run workshops, interviews, shadowing, surveys and stakeholder meetings to capture business needs, pain points, and success criteria. Produce high-quality requirements artifacts: BRD, PRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes and traceability matrices. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams; ensure shared understanding and alignment throughout the SDLC. Prioritize and manage backlog together with Product Owner/Project Manager; facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and refinement sessions. Define and validate non-functional requirements (performance, security, compliance, scalability). Lead solution design sessions with architects and senior engineers; assess trade-offs and drive to a consensus solution that meets business and technical constraints. Support estimation activities (story points, complexity sizing) and work closely with PMs to create delivery plans and release schedules. Drive UAT planning and execution, develop test scenarios, coordinate testers, capture defects, and ensure acceptance criteria are met before release. Ensure high-quality handover to operations: produce runbooks, release notes, support matrices and coordinate go-live/checklist activities. Monitor and mitigate project risks and issues; escalate when appropriate and propose corrective actions. Champion requirements governance and change control processes; assess and quantify scope changes and their impact. Prioritizes user needs and continuously validates assumptions with stakeholders and users. Mentor and coach junior BAs and cross-functional team members on BA best practices, artifacts and tools. Collect and report on project metrics and stakeholder feedback; iterate on processes to improve delivery predictability. Responsible for designing and creating following Deliverables / Artifacts Business Requirements Document (BRD) / Product Requirements Document (PRD) Functional Requirements Document (FRD) and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria Process maps (BPMN), system context diagrams, wireframes/mockups Data model / entity relationship diagrams (where applicable) Integration/API specifications and sequence diagrams Traceability matrix linking requirements to test cases UAT test plans, test scripts and UAT sign-off Release notes, deployment checklist, operational runbook 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role working on software/application development projects. Proven track record of leading at least 2-3 end-to-end application development projects (involving AI tools for SDLC) from discovery through production. Strong experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and familiarity with Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies and hands on experience using latest AI Tools for business analysis. Hands-on experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing a product backlog. Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, integration patterns (REST/SOAP), and common web/mobile technologies. Proficient in SQL and comfortable reviewing data models and writing basic queries to validate requirements. Experience with common BA and delivery tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Figma/Balsamiq, Postman/Swagger. Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills—able to work with C-level stakeholders as well as engineering teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills and attention to detail Experience creating and coordinating UAT, plus producing test artifacts and tracking defects. Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus. Domain experience in Manufacturing industry Exposure to microservices, event-driven architectures, and data streaming platforms. Experience with security/regulatory compliance (PCI, HIPAA, GDPR). Familiarity with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel) and A/B testing practices. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Scrum Master (CSM).
