About the role | Mō te tūranga Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, this is a highly strategic and analytical position focused on driving business improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across our New Zealand banking operations. You will combine deep business analysis expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities, design solutions, and lead process improvement and transformation initiatives that deliver measurable value. This role is primarily aligned to our operations in Wellington, with close collaboration across our Hamilton head office and Sydney teams. You’ll drive strategic analysis, process improvement, and business transformation initiatives to enhance operational performance across a complex banking environment, including: Leading business analysis, developing insights, and shaping strategic recommendations Identifying, designing, and implementing process improvements and future-state solutions Supporting and delivering key transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment and benefits realisation Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to drive alignment and informed decision-making About you | Ō pūkenga You are a highly analytical and strategic thinker with a passion for driving business improvement, who thrives in complex environments and builds strong relationships to deliver impactful outcomes. Experience 5+ years’ experience in a similar business analysis or transformation role Strong experience within financial services Proven track record in process improvement and delivery of change initiatives Skills & Expertise Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability Strong process mapping, modelling, and documentation skills Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong planning and organisation Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Excel, Power BI Knowledge Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking Understanding of banking operations and NZ regulatory environment Exposure to process automation, AI, or emerging technologies is advantageous In return we can offer you: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-driven organisation with an ambitious growth strategy.
