This is a hybrid tūranga (role) with three days in the office and can be based in Auckland or Wellington. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We spoke with the Head of Payments System Compliance (who you'd report to), and she gave us some great insight on what to expect with this tūranga: What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Manage the collation of applicable must-do Card Scheme and Payments Industry rules, ensuring that rules duplicated across different manuals are cross-referenced where practical Collaborate with stakeholders to identify if rules are applicable to the current BNZ environment Reduce assessment effort for business stakeholders by leveraging existing enterprise information, and reviewing merchant and cardholder agreements to confirm they contain content required by the rules Support the Compliance Plan Lead to deliver the completed assessments Analyse assessment information provided by stakeholders to ensure the full scope of rules has been assessed. What is the team culture and environment like? We have a small tīma (team) with a mixture of new and very experienced staff from a range of different cultures, who share their knowledge and work collaboratively. We are hard working; care passionately about the wellbeing of each other and find time each day to get together and have some non-work fun. What is your management style? I operate with an open-door policy and care about the tāngata (people) in my team, not just the mahi (work) that is being done. I'm supportive, empathic, motivating and love to see people growing in their career. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? We are looking for someone with experience related to Card Scheme rules. You will have a strong ability to analyse facts, numbers & processes, well-developed interpersonal skills, and strong organisation.
