This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 100000 - Rs 2400000 (ie INR 1-24 LPA) Min Experience: 7 years Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Bengaluru JobType: full-time The Business Analyst – Payments will act as a critical link between business stakeholders and the engineering/development teams, translating complex payment and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable solutions. This role requires an experienced, self-driven professional who can operate independently, engage confidently with senior stakeholders, and deliver high-quality analysis within financial services environments. Key Responsibilities Act as a bridge between business requirements and technology teams, ensuring accurate translation into functional solutions. Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for payment systems and initiatives. Work extensively on electronic payments domains, including CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA, and ISO 20022 regulations. Perform data and message mapping, including AS-IS and TO-BE process and customer journey mapping. Facilitate and lead stakeholder workshops, capturing outcomes, decisions, and action items. Manage requirement traceability across business requirements, design documents, and testing phases. Identify solution options, assess impacts, risks, and controls, and present clear recommendations to stakeholders. Engage with senior stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage conflicts, and support informed decision-making. Ensure solutions deliver operational efficiency, strong governance, and positive customer and colleague outcomes. Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectively across multiple stakeholder levels. Document operational designs, highlighting key impacts, dependencies, and risks. Required Experience & Capabilities Proven experience in a Business Analyst or Solution Design role within financial services. Strong domain expertise in electronic payments and payment regulations. Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and accountability. Advanced skills in business process analysis, requirement definition, and stakeholder management. Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills. Experience identifying, evaluating, and presenting solution options aligned to business goals. Solid understanding of how technology enables business change and operational transformation. Good to Have Experience using Jira and Confluence for documentation, OKR tracking, and delivery management. Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
