BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE:

On behalf of our Government Sector client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - Intermediate for an 8-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE - JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Business Analyst - Intermediate, you will be part of a team providing a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. The project involves implementing business solutions using COTS tools, particularly Oracle Siebel, to meet diverse business and technological needs.

BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Experience engaging business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and provide estimates.
  • Experience documenting a full range of deliverables including Functional/Non-functional Requirements.
  • Demonstrated facilitation of JAD/Sprint sessions and translation of business needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience implementing business solutions using COTS tools, particularly Oracle Siebel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience adhering to Ontario Public Service (OPS) policies and procedures.

BUSINESS ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Skilled in business process mapping using tools such as Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience using prototyping tools to produce high-quality mock-ups.
  • Familiarity with Ontario Public Service (OPS) policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Responsibilities
  • Interact with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and advise on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards.
  • Lead business analysis to assess client business problems and document requirements for I&IT solutions.
  • Apply re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements.
  • Conduct business analysis aligning with OPS methodologies and processes.
  • Develop strategies, prepare business cases, and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Design processes for requirements gathering and perform business modeling.
  • Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders.
