Description

Who We Are

For 49 years, Ultradata has been the technology partner banks and financial institutions trust to run and reinvent their core operations. We don't just build banking software; we craft digital experiences that empower financial institutions across the Australian and Asia Pacific markets.

About the Role

We're looking for a Business Analyst who thinks like a product owner and reads regulation like a roadmap. You'll sit at the intersection of banking product strategy, compliance, and user experience. You will translate complex regulatory and market requirements into product features that our clients actually want to use.

This is a role for someone who's spent time in financial services and knows that great banking products aren't just compliant, they're competitive because of it.

What You'll Own

  • Shape product direction by identifying process gaps and aligning our banking product suite with evolving financial regulations
  • Turn regulatory and market requirements into clear business requirements, functional specs and product design concepts
  • Run discovery workshops with clients and stakeholders to scope solutions that balance compliance, experience and delivery reality
  • Act as the bridge between client needs and product outcomes; resolving issues and ensuring what we build meets the market
  • Contribute to project planning, resource allocation and delivery oversight alongside the Innovation & Design team
  • Partner closely with Development and QA to ship high-quality product releases
  • Build knowledge-sharing resources that lift capability across internal teams

What You Bring

  • 3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or Product Specialist, ideally within financial services
  • Hands-on exposure to regulatory, compliance or legislative change within banking or financial products
  • Solid grounding in PMLC and SDLC and modern software development environments
  • Project management experience and a genuine interest in how banking products work
  • Sharp analytical, documentation and communication skills — you can speak to regulators, developers and clients in their own language
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
