About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our growing Technology and Development team on a 12 month fixed term basis. You will not only have technical ability but extremely strong interpersonal skills and business process understanding. You are a proactive self-starter, comfortable with pressure coming from all angles at all times and you are able to maintain your cool. While the stakeholders are telling you what is important, you can read between the lines, consider the commercial objectives and make decisions that are good for the business in general. All of this while providing an outstanding stakeholder experience. You understand the dynamics of working in competitive markets and have a solid and proven technical background within the Information Technology space. You can gather business requirements and write functional specifications for developments and system enhancements, all the while consulting with the relevant parts of the business. This is a dynamic and fast paced environment where priorities can change on a daily basis and adapting to this is what will keep you engaged and on your toes. This role is based in the iconic Bryant & May Building in Cremorne, Melbourne with flexible working arrangements of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a preference for experience in the retail energy sector. Proven ability to deliver major business solutions, including application testing and implementation. Highly developed stakeholder management skills and proven resilience. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in process design. Experience in delivering business solutions using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Strong proficiency in SQL for independent data collection and analysis. Familiarity with collaborative tools, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Atlassian products (Confluence, JIRA).
