We are recruiting for a Business Analyst Apprentice to start in September 2025. As an apprentice, you will learn how to investigate and troubleshoot, gather requirements for critical business change, develop impact assessments, consider and mitigate risks, define gap analysis and more.

Start date: 1st September 2025.
Base Location: Hybrid – Walnut Court Swindon.
Working hours: 36 hours Monday- Friday.
Programme Length: 18 months.
Training provider details: You’ll complete your apprenticeship through Firebrand Training Limited via a mix and blend of online/virtual learning and periodic residential block release at their dedicated training centre in Wyboston Lakes, Bedford where accommodation will be provided.
Qualification you will obtain: Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship Standard.
Entry Requirements: C or 4 and above in English and Maths or FS Level 2 Eng/Maths, a Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship or BTEC in a relatable subject) or relevant experience and/or an aptitude test.
Don’t worry if you don’t have your grades yet, if you are due to sit your exams this year, we still want to hear if your predicted grades meet our requirements.
For other immediate demands, a driving license is not essential but you must live within a 30-minute commute must be able to commute to Walnut Court- Swindon.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A BUSINESS ANALYST (RETAIL) APPRENTICE- LEVEL 4

You will be working closely with our Controls function to understand how we help shape business processes by looking for system enhancements for implementation, creating incidents to stabilize systems collaborating with our Retail teams to roll out improvements and changes.

Daily responsibilities will include learning to;

  • Carry out detailed requirement workshops with business stakeholders to ensure strong communication.
  • Translate business requirements into strong technical requirements, ensuring design solutions cover business requirements.
  • Support in the updating and creation of process documentation, including process maps and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Stress test processes to find errors, gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the structured root-cause problem-solving sessions and drive creative thinking within the team.
  • Execute reporting and analysing data to identify patterns and solutions.
