ABOUT YOU

What we are looking for :

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst is essential, ideally within a local authority or public sector setting.
  • Strong working knowledge and practice in Children’s Services, including an understanding of statutory frameworks and operational pressures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • An awareness or experience of using Liquidlogic applications (e.g. LCS, EHM)
  • Experience of working on digital or system transformation projects within a social care setting.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Rochdale Borough Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract, supporting transformation and improvement initiatives in Children’s Services.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on services that support children, young people and families across the borough. Working closely with service leads, IT Teams and frontline professionals you will help shape effective, data informed decisions and ensure our systems and processes meet the needs of service users.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Engaging with stakeholders across Children’s Services to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
  • Supporting service redesign and digital transformation projects from inception to delivery.
  • Mapping and evaluating current processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improved outcomes.
  • Facilitating workshops, interviews and focus groups to capture insights and feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with technical teams to translate business needs into system specifications.
  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of system and process improvements.
