JOB SUMMARY

The Transformation and Corporate Services function is responsible for leading organisation-wide change and improvement.
There are a number of teams in this function including the GIS, Digital Transformation, Forestry Development, People team and the Programme Management Office. The teams deliver and support existing operational services, and resource individual Improvement and Delivery Programme projects.
The Digital Transformation team which provides development, maintenance and support of operational delivery systems, particularly our case management system, as well as development and maintenance of business intelligence systems and management information services.
The Geo-Information Service (GIS) team which provides mapping and geographical services to Scottish Forestry, such as data capture, data analysis and reporting.
The Forestry Development team, which provides professional forestry input into operational delivery, developing and improving our customer services, identifying and exploring new partnership opportunities.
The Programme Management Office team provides project and programme management and business analysis services to support change programmes across the agency.
The People Team provide HR and Learning and Skills Development services across Scottish Forestry
While you will sit within the Programme Management Team, we work in a matrix style, which means you will be an asset across the organisation, collaborating with (and with potential opportunities to work as part of) other teams too.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Within the Programme Management Team you will have specific responsibility for carrying out business analysis, taking part in projects under Scottish Forestry’s Improvement and Delivery Programme, as well as continuous improvement.
You will use your skills and expertise to develop a thorough understanding of Scottish Forestry’s business processes, mapping out As-Is and To-Be process models and carrying out analysis of business and system requirements. You will also support the implementation and testing of new or changes to systems solutions
You will work closely with the wider team and business stakeholders across Scottish Forestry, collaboratively transforming Scottish Forestry’s business processes and systems towards an increasingly digital delivery of forestry services.
